Avoiding Emotions

Upon working closely with hundreds & hundreds of individuals from all walks of life as a Therapist, I developed a strong conviction that

The deepest problem in society is our loss of capacity to FEEL, UNDERSTAND and MANAGE emotions in healthy ways.

We grow up in a society where showing & expressing emotions are deemed as “dramatic, weak or shameful.” When in fact, feeling/expressing those emotions, even the most painful ones, IS what moves us forward in life. That which you avoid feeling, will subconsciously end up causing chaos without even realizing it. Why? Because emotions are the ENERGY that moves us, creates passion, changes and guides us to making decisions that are best for us.

Emotions are essentially energy in motion.

When we detach, avoid, repress and ignore any emotion, we are detaching ourselves from our core connection. We become disconnected, lose direction, and have difficulty with connecting and understanding others. That is why avoiding to deal with those emotions slowly causes relationship conflicts which leads to self sabatoge producing an overall poor self esteem and low confidence without even realizing it. Have you ever avoided feeling emotions? I know I have! Let’s be brave to share our thoughts below❣️
